Each
client will be evaluated and tested by a medical or educational
professional and the appropriate lesson/care plan applied to
that individual client. Our Director of Education has a
Masters in Education and specializes in working with Autism.
Each student will be reevaluated on a quarterly basis and
appropriate changes in the lesson/care plan will be made at that
time.
Flying
Free Equitherapy will be constantly striving to improve our
facilities and our aim is to become a
NARHA
Premier Accredited Center within two years.
Our sessions are as
follows:
Therapeutic Sports
Riding: The emphasis is on riding skills development through
educational activities, games and in some cases Special
Olympics. The cost for
thirty-minute sessions are $25.
Forty-five minute sessions are $30.
Our staff and each students specific goals and
disabilities will determine the length of session.
Group
sessions carry a $5 discount per session per student. There
will be no more than three riders per therapeutic sports riding
session.
Hippotherapy:
Hippotherapy is not offered at this time, but will be in
the near future. At this time we are building our staff and will
be finding an OT and a PT to oversee these sessions.
A physician’s prescription for physical therapy will be
required. This may
qualify for insurance reimbursement.
Hippotherapy fees will be determined by the procedures
administered. The average is usually $100 per client hour.
UPDATE!!! The
center has just made an agreement to work with a physical
therapist on a contract basis... Stay tuned for details and
updates.
