What is Therapeutic Riding?

Therapeutic Riding is the use of the horse and horse related activities for the purpose of contributing positively to the cognitive, physical, emotional and social well-being of people with disabilities.  Therapeutic riding provides benefits in the areas of therapy, education, sport, and recreation/leisure.

The North American Riding for the Handicapped Association is our national program that develops standards of safety and education in the United States. Please visit them at www.narha.org.
