What
is Therapeutic Riding?
Therapeutic
Riding is the use of
the horse and horse related activities for the purpose of
contributing positively to the cognitive, physical, emotional
and social well-being of people with disabilities.
Therapeutic riding provides benefits in the areas of therapy,
education, sport, and recreation/leisure.
The North American Riding for the
Handicapped Association is our national program that develops
standards of safety and education in the United States. Please
